Another April bids adieu.
Yet, every mustached face I see
Is still you.
Painting by Monet.

61 paper boats came floating back to me:
AND COME NEXT APRIL, i WILL MOVE ONE YEAR CLOSER TO 30...
yes i milked the bull and have saved it for you.. :)
Another Haiku..
to remind me that I can never write one!!
:-(
Yes,
Another April bids adieu
And now whenever I see a moustache
I'll think of you!
:P
Keep writing,
Cheers!
Dont be stupid! How can you be sure that the person hasnt shaved it off yet?
Great lines!
well.. the number of mustached faces are fast decreasing. you may not see one in april a few years later. ;-)
Funny!
I see we are not following the 5-7-5 rule anymore, han?
Cat would be sad now.:-)
So tell us more about the mustached guy??
Hey l'tl girl..this time I've something for you...come n get it:)
ANOTHER April, time passing and yet the memory still is there. Sad one.
"APRIL is the cruellest month, breeding
Lilacs out of the dead land, mixing
Memory and desire, stirring
Dull roots with spring rain."
A suggestion :please do give proper credits to the pictures you use in your blog...try to give proper links/urls to the credited names so that buggers like me can actually be satisfied. Consider it lightly :)
Ermmm....why "Goodby Spring"?
Are his moustache springy? ;)
Jokes apart, it is a very pithy, striking, beautiful poem.
Wow! Must be true! Cos I am not really capable appreciating poems, let alone fake it!
Lovely.
stupendously written...
Gasp.
Haikus r so lovely if well written. I love this one. haunting...
Another spring waits for
to see that lovely red
turned green leafes
on every trees.
Every lovely face I see
turns smooth to wrinkled
Yet I search for the face
The one I once loved.
My small gift to you for Goodbye Spring and for ever welcome you.
well... there are still 3.5 days left and am gonna enjoy it :)
take care mate.. Haikus do have a certain way to express our love with nature... :)
take care mate... cheers...
Trying to forget someone, are we? Good one!
I haven't written that many a haiku, yet. And those I have written are 5-7-5. Is any relaxation to the rule allowed? Apart from 3-6-3... Do let me know...
Peace. Have a nice day.

Coming to think of ur last post... Lemme know what u make of this - Unforgiving Africa
aha, summer mein bhi yaadein :) mast hein yar :P
Chriz, you are one of those people who will vastly improve by aging. don't worry about thirty. thirty will be kind to you.
Kriti- the things you can do vastly outnumber the things you can't. cheers :)
Abstract Scientist... i feel it on my lip-line :)
Amal- that makes me sad :(
Yessss... down with rules... throw away the rules... cat, i think, would be delighted :)
Deepa- Yay!
Karen- aniket thinks its funny. can a poem be both?
Goirick- jah, ki je bolish na, lojjaye beguni hoye gelam :)
Bokom- jiyo guru!
Goirick- but where do i find a link? this was just a painting by Monet that i had in my machine... should i link Monet to wiki?
Stupidosaurus- thanks for the visit :) thanks for the appreciation. i realize it must have been hard.
Murphy- *bow*
Pallav- "blush"
Coffee- haunting- i just love that word...
Pradip- thank you so so much :) that was lovely.
Arv- thanks mate... enjoy the last few days :)
Kartz- i'm not sure 3-6-3 is a rule... it doesn't add up to 17, does it?
i don't follow rules. i'm not even claiming this is a haiku. i just write it as i like it. this is a 7-7-3. :)
anil- thanks buddy :)
Wow. :)
Nice haiku. I'm in awe of you. :)
That was breath-taking.... I am so inspired by you... U write so well.
yea ..that would be great...
do that ,even for your earlier post..helps ignorant people like us
it's not haiku. it's amri-ku. and i like it.
it's like watching a face in the window of a bus as it drives away.
(btw, i preferred the pajama stripes to the bricks - but i come here for the writing, not the backgrounds.)
...40 degree spring was not so springy at all... before I read this... thank you Little girl... you are the one who can find out the door behind the "almirah"...you are one from the "Narnia"... you know magic... and you apply those shamelessly on us...
Yes, I'm going to feed you to the fish...Actually, syllable count aside, it is very touching.
Here's a neat new thing I just learned, you can call this a Senryu instead of a Haiku, because while Haiku are supposed to be about nature, Senryu are about human foibles. I think there's an umlaut over the u.
Also i forgot to tell u...
ur background is WOW!
i lurved the pajamas thing more...but this is good too...
pls hook me up with this stuff too. I was the header to be the same as it is...now. but with a different background but without deleting any HTML thinggies...
Pretty please!!
And also if u have gmail cud u pls add me, dr.do2much@gmail.com
theres something i need to ask :)
nice thought :D
ki, really? no! thats such a sweet thing to say..
triple dot- your 'haiku' was lovely too... in the face of all them rule-sticklers!
goirick- okies, will do...
Joaquin- amriku... i like that :) it means i get to set my own rules :)
and how is it that your description of my writings is so much more beautiful than the writings themselves?? seriously, how do you do it?
i had to change my pyjamas because people complained it was hard to read. i wish you had told me earlier...
atanu- if i knew magic the first thing i would make would be snow. lovely white snow all over jaipur...
ok, i'll send a blizzard or two down to you too.
Cat, AWESOME!!. now i can pretend i am writing senryu. and since no one has heard about it, i can make up rules and people will have to believe me :)
and it sounds more authentic than amriku :D
coffee- thanks for liking. its called 'anoder brick in da wall'
i mailed you.
thanks geetika.
WOW! So awesome...loved the pic..enjoyed ur Haiku..M so following ur work now :)
How gently put is your Haiku,
Treat this comment as a tribute,
o'course to you!
:D
been years since i did that! u inspire!!
What a knife of sweetness.
And seriously gorgeous painting!
I love your style of poetry! Short, sweet, yet leaves a deep, deep impact.
On a lighter note, did you see all Sardars in April :P They all have moustaches and they all look the same!
Stupid joke I know!
Very kind of you... I m in a microwave oven right now... it will be your kindness "little illusionist"....
thou technically it is not a haiku but it has got nothing to do with the beauty and depth of ur poem.
it is excellent both in terms of beauty and depth.
khoob bhalo laglo. :)
